Day 1: |
Arrive at
the Villa Fattoria del Gelso by 6:00 pm Welcome
reception and cocktails by the pool. Welcome
dinner at local restaurant. The Villa
Fattoria del Gelso is located in the town of Cannara, a short drive from
Perugia and Assisi and approximately two hours from Rome. You can arrive
easily by car or arrange for pickup at the train station in Assisi or
Perugia. |

Friends Dinner at
the Villa Fattoria del Gelso Evening
concert featuring Caetano Veloso and Stefano Bollani at Arena Santa Guiliana Today
youÕll get your legs underneath you and start to discover the beautiful and
mysterious city of Perugia, your home for the next four days. That evening
enjoy the Brazilian mastery of Catano Veloso under the stars at the outdoor
stadium Arena Santa Guiliana. |

Pizza

aperitifs and snacks at the Hotel Brufani in Perugia featuring the Allen
Harris Quartet Evening
concert featuring Sonny Rollins at Arena Santa Guiliana YouÕll
start the day learning the secrets of Italian pizza, enjoying your creation
for lunch. Then weÕll head to the Brufani Hotel, PerugiaÕs flagship hotel
with a commanding view over the countryside. Thee you will enjoy a light
dinner there before taking your front row seats to hear Sonny Rollins. |

Morning
guided walking tour of Perugia Jazz lunch
at the Bottega del Vino in Perugia featuring the Renato Sellani Trio Dinner at
the Villa Fattoria del Gelso Evening
concert featuring Cassandra Wilson and David Sanborn at Arena Santa Guilana Today
youÕll be treated to the art and history of Perugia, from the Estrucan gates
to the Rocca Paolina to the Corso Vannucci. YouÕll enjoy lunch at the Bottega
del Vino, PerugiaÕs premier enoteca (wine bar), with an opportunity to sample
the great wines of Umbria and throughout Italy. An evening concert under the
star caps off a great day. |

Day 5: |
Half day
guided tour of the Sagrantino wine district Dinner at
the Villa Fattoria del Gelso Evening
concert featuring the Bill Frisell Trio at Teatro Morlacchi A short
drive from the Villa is the Strada del Sagrantino, the Sagrantino wine road
that is home to dozens of vineyards producing UmbriaÕs finest red wine. WeÕll
visit three wineries and taste many more over lunch at a local enoteca (wine
bar). After dinner at the Villa weÕll enjoy one last concert before
departing. |
